You actively dread or avoid any conflict.
You take on others’ emotions as your own.
You can’t contain your love for pets, animals, and children.
You are seen as very sensitive.
Being an ‘empath’ or whatever label one puts on having deep empathy can be mentally exhausting if you don’t know how to set healthy boundaries for yourself.
Always remember that you CAN distance yourself from unhealthy people, overwhelming situations, or really anything that is not serving you.
Be sure to take adequate time for yourself. And that means limiting media time as well. Even if you’re extroverted. When you are very empathic, constant energy exchange can tear you down. Take time often to just sit with yourself; whether that be meditation, a walk, a hike, a workout, or reading. Whatever seems fitting to you!
